Boiler type is a one-way forced-circulation designed in a suspended vertical type of construction with intermediate superheating and membrane wall construction. The flue gas flow is designed as a dual-train system. Current operating hours are 120,400.
EVT-hard coal-bowl mills types SM 17 & SM 19 were installed for the pulverization of hard coal.
In 1999 the two existing lignite mills were converted into hard coal mills. The two beater wheel mills were installed as a reserve in case of malfunction of the four bowl mills, and they are usually only used during an incident.

Franco-Tosi W21R Double flow, single shaft, two cylinder condensing turbine built as an access pressure turbine with district heating supply system installed in 1986.
Elin type HDTGD215/2-470 is a 3-Phase Alternator w/static field excitation & hydrogen-cooling installed 1985.
(2) High-Voltage 3-Zone Electrostatic Precipitators with external rectifier.
The Flue Gas Desulphurization Plant operates according to the CHEMICO-MITSUI process. Through limestone suspension it reaches a degree of desulphurization of more than 95%. As desulphurization product high quality gypsum is created for the building materials industry.
Transformers by EBG & BBC w/Apparent power of 200,000 kVA & 27,000 kVA are installed.
(2) Vertical Cooling Water Pumps each powered by 591 kW and made by Andritz are installed.
It should be noted that the LIFEX Residual rating gives this Plant an additional 200,000 operating hours which equates to 25 years of base load operation remaining to run this plant.
