This plant was new in 1986. It was fully rebuilt in 2002 to like new condition. It ran on a limited basis after the rebuild until 2009 and was shut down thereafter. It has been maintained and is in excellent condition.
Description of Facility
The facility consists of a solid fuel boiler, a condensing turbine generator, wood yard and handling facilities, auxiliary systems and plant office. The design station output is nominal 18MW. The plant will is fired from wood waste in the area.
Electrical power from the plant is generated by a nominal 18MW synchronous generator at 13.8 kV. The power is brought into a 13.8 switchgear assembly through underground cables. Installed Capacity – Nominal 18MW
