This unusual Press was designed Rings for Turbine Generators by HydroExpansion Process on cold or heated material with the inclusion of a Rolling Process on a Mandrel. As an example, internal Ring Diameter ring prior to Expanding is in the range of 316 to 1,388mm and after expanding this increased to between 400 and 1,956mm. Wall thickness of the Ring Blank prior to expanding is up to 161mm (6.3") and the expansion process can reduce the Ring Wall Thickness down to a range of between 305 to 1,055mm.

Additional Specifications as follows:

The Press exerts forging force in two stages, 1st is 15,000 tonnes and the second is 30,000 tonnes.

Each main cylinder forging force 7,700 tons

Distance between column centers: - 3.5 mtrs F-to-B x 3.5 mtrs L-to-R

Upper hyd Die clamp cylinder capacity: 64 tons

Press height above the floor is 9,290mm and below the floor is 9,900mm.

Maximum weight of the largest component (the press crown) is 147,000 kgs.

It has four (4) lifting cylinders each rated at 250 tonnes and two (2) Return Cylinders each rated at 95 tonnes.

Complete with:

Die Magazine, moving table, a large assortment of cone and mandrel tooling for producing rings made from exotic materials and an assortment of spare parts.
